Access Sports & Play-based Exercise & Physio Through your NDIS Plan

If your plan has Capacity Building or Improved Daily Living Categories, you’re able to access our Exercise Physiology and Physiotherapy sessions funded through your NDIS Plan.

Exercise Physiology

Movement focused play & sports-based therapy focused on large motor patterns to help your child feel confidence and participate in life - whether it’s jumping, lifting or running.

Physiotherapy

Much like Exercise Physiology but with the extra support of manual therapy.

Worried Exercise Or Physio Will Be Too Loud, Unpredictable Or Clinical?

Your sessions are crafted for your sensory needs.

While striking up a fine balance of structured and unstructured play & sports-based EP & Physio, we work towards your goal by improving layers of health & movement in each and every session.

We Come To You

Skip bright clinic lights, loud gyms and waiting rooms.

Sessions happen at home, with quieter setup, breaks and equipment introduced gradually.

Build A Consistent Exercise Routine

Use a consistent session structure, familiar warm-ups and clear transitions so movement feels easier to start and repeat.

Support For Different Communication Styles

Get visual cues, direct language, demonstrations and longer processing time for verbal, non-verbal and limited-verbal participants.

You Stay In The Loop

Be updated and in the loop of the plan and roadmap we have to improve your child’s needs and goals. Be prepared for some homework to do in-between sessions!

Make any Exercise simple and easy to follow

Are you interested in learning a new skill or movement?

Whether it’s boxing, skipping or playing a sport like tennis - we’ll breakdown the skill into easy to follow drills that suit your learning style.

Feel clumsy, uncoordinated and unsteady?

Movement is a skill that can be learnt.

Our NDIS-specialised EPs & Physios take a look at where you’re currently at, identify the skills you need and work towards making progress in each and every session.

Build the love for exercise

Not all exercise involves the gym and rigid routines.

Exercise can be done in any form, and it’s our job to help you build the love for physical activity, movement, fitness and strength.

Build Independence With A Connection First Approach

We understand the typical gym or clinic therapy may not work for your child.

Whether it’s too boring or too overstimulating, we’ve made sure this is covered.

Connection. Regulation. Engagement. Exercise.

This is the Drift Health Framework we bring into every session.

Connection

Have the confidence to trust us with your therapy.

All of our sessions are focused on building connection and confidence to help you build a love for exercise & movement.

Regulation

Your child learns differently and we adapt every session accordingly.

On some days, it’s more play. On other days there’s more structure. Our goal is to help your child feel safe and connected with exercise.

Engagement

Lean into what your child enjoys and connect this with exercise, fitness and movement. With play and sports-based therapy, we make exercise feel enjoyable, safe and welcomed for your child.

Exercise

Combined with the 3 approaches, we slowly and gradually increase the structured exercise for major leaps in improvements. So think throwing, catching, running and jumping.

Helping the NDIS Community,One family at a time.

I’m Victor, the head Exercise Physiologist behind Drift Health. Over 8 years working with autistic NDIS participants, the pattern I keep seeing is the same: exercise works when the environment is familiar, the structure is predictable, and the practitioner adapts to how someone communicates and regulates, instead of the other way around.

That’s why we come to you, hold a session structure that stays consistent across visits, and shape the program around the way the person already moves.
